Venue:

Evans Bay Park, Kilbirnie, Wellington

Competition Details:

The competition will be run over Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October.
Group games in the men’s and women’s competition will take place on the Saturday with the semi finals and finals taking place on the Sunday.
We'll be aiming for a 4pm finish on the Sunday to allow teams to enjoy the weekend.
The hurling match will take place on the Sunday.

Team Info:
Each team squad shall consist of no more than 10 players.
Cost per team is $50.00, this fee is payable prior to start of competition. The fee covers the affiliation costs to the Irish Society and the competition entry fee.

Game Details:
Game time: 10 minutes per half (3 minute interval)

The Rules
Rules of the competition are simple and can be summarised as

1.    Maximum of 7 players on pitch at any given time
2.    Rolling subs can be used, team manager to police numbers. (Should a team be found to be playing with more than 7 players at any stage   then their score shall be reset to 0-00 at the time of the infraction)
3.    Normal scoring rules apply (3pts for a goal, 1 for a point)
4.    In the men’s football competition goal kicks may be taken from the hand


Referees & Officials:

Wellington GAA will provide referees for the tournament but should any other cities referees wish to take charge of a game, just let us know.
We will need help with linesmen and umpires, we will be asking participating teams to help out in this regard.
