Have you always wanted to learn how to play gaelic football? Or, do you just want to get back that championship feeling from home? Well now's your chance! Join us this summer and play in this mixed 7-a-side tournament - it's the perfect opportunity. You can enter as a team or as an individual!
WHAT
A fun & social 6-week mixed 7-a-side tournament - a good, relaxed environment for new players to learn the game.
WHEN
We kick off on Sunday 1st November @ 1.30pm, Ian Galloway Park, with an afternoon of an introduction to gaelic football. We'll show you some of the skills and rules and you can give it a try.
Tournament - Starts Wednesday 4th November @ 6pm Ian Galloway Park and is on every Wednesday evening until Wednesday 9th December, with the finals to be played on Sunday 13th Dec. We also have practice training every Sunday.

Ian Galloway Park, Wilton for the games and the Establishment on Courtenay Place for celebrations.
WHO
Everyone is welcome! If you've never played the game before, this is a great time to start.
HOW
Registrations are open from now until Friday 30th October.
You can enter as a team or as an individual.
To register a team: Email wellingtongaa@gmail.com stating the team name, captain/manager's name, email address and phone contact details
To register as a player: Email wellingtongaa@gmail.com and let us know, we'll find you a team to play with.
REGISTRATION FEE
$200 per team, max. 12 players.
The Rules
The full set of rules will be communicated to your team manager before the tournament starts. Important rules to note at this stage are:
- 7-a-side games of two halves, each half is 12 minutes.
- Each team must have 2 girls playing on the pitch at all times
- A goal scored by a girl is worth 4 points.
- There cannot be more than 3 experienced players on a team
- Experienced players cannot be used as ring-ins.
