If you fancy yourself as the next Tiger Woods or can’t tell a set of golf clubs from fishing rods, you’re more than welcome to come along either way — it’s all in the name of fun-draising.
We’ll have a number of competitions on the day including: an individual tournament, a team tournament between HVIS and Wellington/Hutt Valley GFHA, two longest drive competitions and two closest to the pin competitions. And to spice things up, we’re giving each player a mulligan and a gilligan.
Lower Hutt’s own little piece of Ireland will serve as the nineteenth hole where we’ll celebrate the day’s winners as well as the ancient game of golf itself. The band Shindig will provide the soundtrack to the evening.
County Jerseys Night
And that’s not all — we’re hosting a county jerseys* night, too. From Donegal to Wexford, Cavan to Limerick, we want to see as many counties represented as possible. So mark it in your diaries and bring along a friend or two. It’ll be a night to remember.
*The owners reserve the right to refuse entry to wearers of Kerry jerseys.
We’ve been fortunate to gain the support of a number of people and businesses for the fundraiser so far. We think you might like to support them in return when you have the opportunity.
